Tip from the bartender

Red vermouth, a fortified wine made with red wine and botanicals, adds a rich, aromatic layer to cocktails. With the rise of the craft cocktail movement and the trend for low-alcohol drinks, vermouth is gaining popularity. Sweet vermouth is also an excellent digestif thanks to the herbs that support digestion. In this cocktail I used the Belgian aperitif ‘Midi Red’. Although it is not a classic vermouth, the botanical complexity perfectly matches the taste experience.

PERFECT SERVE

A great cocktail is more than just what’s in the glass. It’s the details, the glassware, the ice, the garnish, that elevate it into an experience. A twist of citrus, a sprig of herbs, or the right glass shape can transform flavour, aroma, and mood.

But beyond the aesthetics, the real magic lies in the moment itself: the atmosphere, the laughter, the people you share it with. That’s what Yugen is all about: creating small, beautiful moments of connection, one perfectly served drink at a time.
