Yugen x WAY: Meet Orange Coffee
TWO GENT-BASED BRANDS, ONE UNIQUE NEW FLAVOUR
With Orange Coffee, Yugen Kombucha and WAY Specialty Coffee Roasters unite two worlds that rarely meet: unpasteurised kombucha and specialty coffee.
The result is a limited-edition collab layered with fresh orange, Brazilian cold brew coffee, cinnamon, allspice and a touch of juniper.
Refreshing enough to drink straight from the fridge. Complex enough to add to a mocktail or cocktail.

A SHARED PHILOSOPHY
Coffee and kombucha might seem worlds apart, but both are rooted in time, precision and quality ingredients. That shared foundation sparked Orange Coffee.
“Quality can’t be faked. If attention and craftsmanship went into a product, you can taste it immediately,” says WAY founder Charlene De Buysere.
WAY is more than a coffee roaster. It’s an ecosystem built around sustainability, community, and thoughtful production—from their roastery to their plant-based cafés across Ghent.
This mindset made the collaboration feel natural from the start. Developed side by side, from early experiments to the final brew.
BUILDING THE FLAVOUR
WAY chose Bota Fora as the base for this collab, a Brazilian coffee with notes of dark chocolate and roasted nuts—strong enough to cut through the kombucha's fermentation without overpowering the citrus.
The result is a drink with the rich complexity of coffee and the refreshing vibrancy of kombucha.

MADE TO MIX
Orange Coffee is delicious straight from the bottle, but also comes alive when incorporated into mocktails.
Our recommended serve:
- 3 cl WAY espresso or 4 cl strong cold brew
- 1 bottle Yugen Orange Coffee (chilled, as always)
- Ice
- Orange peel (optional)
Pour kombucha over ice, add espresso (or cold brew) and stir gently. Our simple twist on an espresso tonic, perfect to elevate your next weekend brunch.
