The story behind 'Spooky'
For this illustration, the worlds of Yugen and Eva's own artistic universe come together. "My work often starts from observation and personal impressions, which I translate into imagined scenes filled with colour, characters, and small details," Eva said. "For Yugen, I was inspired by the mysterious meaning of the word. I explored this sense of mystery through three playful spirits exploring nature, keeping it light rather than dark. Combined with natural elements, this formed the foundation of the illustration: a balance between the magical and the playful, reflecting the fresh energy of Yugen kombucha. There’s a lot to discover within the drawing—small details that reveal themselves over time. I love the idea that people can enjoy their favourite drink, while still finding something new on the bottle each time they look at it."
