Graphic designer and teacher by day, visual craftsman by night
Henk Willems is a designer and illustrator with a dual creative life. By day, he translates complex ideas into clear design systems for major clients; by night, he searches for rich textures and forms to express quiet, visual stories through his illustrations. Born in Flemish clay soil, Henk has spent his life pursuing the perfect shape — one that holds a powerful story. With over 20 years of experience as a creative and design director, he has led branding programmes for destinations, corporations and organisations. Henk holds a Master’s degree in Graphic Design from LUCA School of Arts in Ghent, and shares his expertise as a design lecturer.
The story behind 'Say it’s alright Joe'
The scene shows a world where a woman embraces jellyfish Joe on the back of a whale that turns out to be a giant hand providing great canned drinks to the world. It’s an ode to nature. A cradle-to-cradle symbiosis between all living creatures in order to preserve our very existence. It’s a message of positivity, a message of ‘everything will be alright, Joe’.
